Innerdance & Yin Yoga: Why this order is so powerful
Many people intuitively feel that slowing down is the key to truly going deep. That is exactly what the combination of Yin Yoga as an attunement and the subsequent Innerdance session aims for. Yin prepares the body and nervous system — Innerdance then opens the doorway to the inner journey.
In short: What is Innerdance?
Innerdance is a meditative, body-based consciousness process that works mainly with music, touch, scents and more to open expanded spaces of perception. You don’t follow instructions; you follow your own inner intuition. Movement may arise, but it doesn’t have to. The method is rooted in the work of Pi Villaraza and is spreading worldwide as a gentle yet profound space for transformation. Innerdance aims to reactivate your life force (often called Kundalini), release blockages, find clarity, etc.
Why Yin Yoga works so well beforehand
1) From “doing” to “being”
Yin Yoga invites you to not have to achieve anything. Longer, passive floor poses dissolve the inner “doing-tension.” This shift into the parasympathetic mode (rest-and-digest) creates the optimal foundation for an Innerdance journey that unfolds without goals and without “right/wrong.”
2) Regulating the nervous system
Through calm breathing, gravity, and fewer stimuli, the arousal curve drops. A regulated nervous system can let go more safely, sense more subtly, and take in sound/frequencies more deeply — exactly what Innerdance uses to expand consciousness.
3) Interoception & subtle awareness
Quiet resting trains interoception — the perception of internal signals. When you sense well what’s happening in the body, it’s easier in Innerdance to notice micro-movements, images, emotions — and to trust what arises.
4) Grounding & trust
Doing Yin beforehand anchors you: contact with the ground, calm breaths, clear boundaries. This grounding is like a seat belt.
5) A threshold ritual
The Yin phase marks a conscious threshold moment: from everyday life into the inner space. Such a transition helps the mind release expectations and open to whatever wants to show up.
6) For beginners and seasoned practitioners
If you’re new to Innerdance, Yin offers a gentle on-ramp. Experienced practitioners often find faster drop-in after Yin, clearer trance windows, and deeper trust in the process.
Important: In Innerdance there is no predetermined movement. You may lie down, move gently, be loud or quiet — everything is welcome.

Frequently asked questions about the event:
1) Do I need prior experience in Yin Yoga or Innerdance?
No. The session is equally suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners. Yin Yoga gently brings you from “doing” to “being”; in Innerdance you follow your own inner intelligence — you can remain lying down, move gently, or stay still. If you’re in a sensitive life phase (e.g., pregnancy, high stress, emotional topics), please reach out to us beforehand.
2) What should I bring & how do I prepare?
Bring: Yoga mat, blanket/extra layers (we’re in the garden), water bottle, optional eye mask, notebook & pen.
Clothing: Comfortable and warm enough for rest phases.
Preparation: Eat lightly; avoid very heavy meals right before. Arrive a few minutes early so you can arrive in calm. In bad weather we’ll be indoors at the same location (La Cuevita, Santa Brígida).
3) How do I integrate what I experienced after the session?
Drink water, allow some quiet time, journal your impressions, eat something light. Avoid tight scheduling immediately afterwards — this lets the experience settle gently. If questions arise, Angi & Dasha will, of course, be there for you.
